Fade was conceived and developed during Who Am I/ Who I am, cycle 8 of Forward Flux Productions’ collaborate create 21 day residency program in Seattle, WA, April 2017. The 20 artists of Who Am I/ Who I am examined the concept of Identity and created art in response/ reaction.
My focus has narrowed in on lack or loss of Identity. In the sense of futility in the search for Identity. Must we define ourselves? I protect myself by keeping things sort of vague. Is it the voice of Privilege that I can be undefined. By not having many greater Identities forced upon me by society am I adrift?
