In this series of prints I wanted to illustrate my feelings of social claustrophobia and how sometimes I fight to get free and sometimes I sit waiting quietly for my opportunity to escape.

For these collaged monoprints I built frames that corresponded in size to the the plates I would be using for the prints. I then photographed myself squished inside and busting out of these frames. I used the photographs as the basis for life-size collages of my figure. I then layered printing and collaging on each piece using shape and color to create the senses of anxiety and waiting.
